About this project

This is a website that delves into the history and uses of some of the largest imports of Victorian Britain – spices, sugar and fruits.

Including adapted nineteenth-century recipes from recipe books such as Mrs Beeton and popular published books from the Nigella's of the time, this website also serves as a virtual recipe book.

Video tutorials in the form of TikTok’s and Instagram Reels are also available for each recipe, so please, take an evening and cook along with us and lets make history!

If you give it a go let me know!
