Plum Jam

Making jam is extremely simple. It uses the method of boiling soft fruit with sugar and water, leaving it to cool, and storing it so people could enjoy sweetened fruit at any point of the year. Why not try this out?

Directions:
  1. Cut the plums in half and remove the stones.

  2. Place the plums flat side down into the sugar and let sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Then pour everything into a large saucepan or preserving pan set over a low heat. Let simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Bring the jam to a boil for about 3-5 mins, stirring constantly so that the jam doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. When you notice it thickening up, remove it from the heat.

  5. Do the wrinkle test.

  6. Pour the jam into the jars and leave it to set in the fridge overnight.

  7. Enjoy!
